4. Chop the onion and grind the garlic to paste. Also, get ready with curry leaves, lime, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, salt, and curry powder.
5. Heat the oil in a cooking pan and add mustard seeds. Let it splutter. Now, add the onion and sauté until it gets translucent. Then, add the curry leaves and fry them for one minute.
6. Add the garlic paste, stir, and fry everything until the onion gets a golden color.
7. Now add the soaked soya meat. Stir, mix and cook uncovered under the high flame until the soya meat gets little fry. You should stir and mix occasionally to avoid burn. For me, it takes about 3 minutes.

Notes
1. There are varieties of soya meat packets. I suggest you buy a quality soya meat packet which contains a spice mix pack inside.
2. If it is hard to find grated coconut, you can use coconut milk powder or bottled coconut milk.
3. If you don’t like more spiciness, you can reduce the amount of curry powder.

Great! I’m not a cooking expert and so far I’ve had make very few (just 2 – 3 recopies) but all with success. The soya curry made by my wife is not up to my expected my tasty standard and it is having just a spongy taste of soya for years !!
I surf for good recipe for soya meat curry and this site is very informative and clearly explained with step by step color photos for beginners. I made soya meat curry first time today with great taste I’ve ever expected. No more mistakes made during the venture as your explanation is fantastic with temperature controlling advices (high flame cook, low flame/slow cook as which is also the one of the secret of cooking, i believe!).
Thank you very much for sharing knowledge and wish you all the best!
