The Best Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe [Ever] for Beginners (No Coffee)

Have you ever thought about how to prepare the best moist chocolate cake recipe without coffee? If yes, you are in the right direction. Today, I am going to show you the best and simple way to make a moist chocolate cake recipe for beginners.

A few months ago I have posted a simple vanilla cake recipe that went viral. So this time I am planning to show you the chocolate cake recipe.

A piece of chocolate cake with cocoa cream topping and roasted cashew nuts is one of the best combinations for any cake lover, especially for kids.

You can make this basic yet delicious chocolate cake at home easily.

Alright, without further ado let’s see how to make the best moist chocolate cake recipe without coffee at home.

The Best Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe [Ever] for Beginners (No Coffee)

Best Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

For Cake

  • Butter – 250g
  • Plain flour – 200g
  • Sugar – 250g
  • Egg – 5
  • Cocoa powder – 50g
  • Baking powder – 2 ½ teaspoons
  • Vanilla extract – 3 teaspoons

For Toppings

  • Roasted cashew nuts – 50g
  • Butter – 2 tablespoons
  • Icing sugar – 150g
  • Cocoa powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Water – 1 tablespoon

Notes

1. Use good quality butter.
2. Always beat or mix the batter in the same direction.
3. After adding the plain flour, don’t beat or mix the batter for long.
4. Don’t wait for so long to put the cake tray into the oven after you make the cake batter.
5. When you bake the cake set the oven to convection mode.
6. If you are not sure whether the cake is ready or not, insert a stick inside the cake and take it out. If it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
7. Wait until the cake comes to room temperature before flipping it on a flat surface and apply the icing topping cream.

1. Get ready with butter, plain flour, sugar, eggs, cocoa powder, baking powder, and vanilla extract.

3. Sift the plain flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder together to remove any clumps.

4. Separate the egg yolk and egg white as shown in the picture below.

5. Using an electric mixer beat egg white until stiff peaks form.

How to Beat Egg White?

6. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy and light in color. For me, it takes about 10 minutes.

7. Now add the egg yolk one by one. Beat well after each egg yolk.

8. Then add the beaten egg white little by little. Beat well after each addition.

9. Now add the sifted flour mix. Don’t beat, but mix them well until all combined. (Beat in a slow speed mode for one or two minutes if needed)

10. Finally, add the vanilla extract and beat in a slow-speed mode for one minute.

11. Now, put the parchment paper on the cake tray. Pour the cake batter and spread it evenly.

12. Preheat the oven for 5 minutes. Place the cake tray inside the oven and bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes. Once done, take out the cake tray from the oven and let the cake cools down to room temperature.

13. Now, take a bowl and add icing sugar, butter, cocoa powder, and a tablespoon of water.
